Behold. A Scagel.
the first pic or so is the original, worth, what? today...85 thou? The attention is now to other blade forged rough, and then the finished product. Spacer arrangement changed radically to preclude at some future point, the knife being remarked and antiqued and passed off as an authentic knife. A lifetime ambition here, folks. A Scagel I can use.
forgot to add thickness shot
Wow! Makes me wish I'd bought that Scagel 30+ years ago
as it would probably have earned more than a similar investment in gold.

check out realized prices from 6yrs ago...
while waiting for a mod to clear a linked post
showing some realized prices from 6yrs back, just a thought. If you are like me, then 30yrs ago or more, that Scagel likely would have been used, and not worth near as much money.
Guns and knives are for shoot'n & cut'n, not look'n
.
and why I bought this one......nt
nt
but, you gotta like shootin' and cuttin' bunches...
to take something mint, and worth $45,000 or $80,000, and reduce it to a $5000 user, or even far less. Much less a hit to buy pre-used, or have a repro made, and lose "only" a grand.
