with the guns I have, I see Ruger went and pulled a fast one on me and came out with an Officer sized SR1911 45! I've been carrying a Glock 36 for my while I'm working on cars at work so I'm always armed gun. I had a Kimber officer sized 45 once and I loved everything about that gun except that it was about as reliable as a 100,000 mile Chevette in a junk yard. I bet Ruger knows how to make one run. Thinkin hard on this... I might just buy one and if it's as reliable as my G36 I'll carry it.

Wait a bit.

I probably will anyhow...usually if I wait long enough I'll talk myself out of it but that looks like a sweet little pistol and I'm a sucker for 1911's.

Wait a bit.

Never found anything more reliable than my G36 no matter what I fed it.

I only have two issues with the G36...

It hurts my trigger finger and I'm not sure why. I honed down the safety dingus so it's flush when I pull the trigger. That 100% solved the issue on my G20 10mm so it figured it was the issue on the 36. It helped a little but still abraids my trigger finger after only a few rounds. I'm a mechanic with calloused hands that are almost impervious to heat or abrasion so I'm not sure what's up. The only thing I can guess is it's the serrated trigger; my other Glocks are all smooth faced. I bought an aluminum, smooth adjustable trigger from Lone Wolf for it but I just don't trust this whole pre-travel and post-travel adjustment stuff on a serious gun so it is (and probably will remain) still in the package unused. The other issue is mag changes. I have big hands and medium fingers but I have to turn it good and sideways to release the mag catch and then pull out the old mag past the palm of my hand. I like this little pistol, and want to like it more, but for those two issues.
