I bought a new Glock 36 last week in my effort to replace all the guns I've had in the past and foolishly traded for something new and shiny lol! One of those was a Glock 36 that was quite accurate and easy to carry. I took it out to the range yesterday afternoon and this one was no letdown in the accuracy department but it shot 5" high and 2.5" left. Shooting high is an easy fix. It has the 6.9mm rear sight on it and I'll put a 6.5 or 6.1 on it and that should get me in there. They cost $3 from Glock. Once I know which one gets it right I'll buy the Ameriglo Bold sights for it that correspond to that sight. The Ameriglo versions change the front sights rather than the rear, my Gen3 SF Glock 20 shot 5" high as well so switching to a 6.5mm rear solved it. The 6.5mm comes on a Glock 19 (pre-Gen5 [Gen5 takes a 6.1mm]) so Ameriglo Bold sights for a pre-Gen5 G19 will fix my G20...and probably my G36. Anyhow, I'm just curious how common it is for Glocks to shoot high? My last 36 was dead on. My current 19X is dead on. Every Glock I've ever owned in the past was dead on. And now I have a two that came from the factory shooting 5" high? And on my G36 shooting left...it looks like the front sight is rotated slightly counter clockwise which would cause it to go left. What's strange is the factory Glock plastic sights fit the sight slots tight and there is no wiggle room. So it would seem the slot cut is oriented wrong or it's an improperly molded sight which seems less likely. The good news is all the metal front sights fit looser in the slots and they will set in there straight. So....just curious if any of you have had any issues with Glocks shooting high or left or right. This just hasn't been my experience in the past and now I have two of them.
