Winchester 9422 question
I know this can be asked on lever gun board but I know many of you are members here and there.
I bought a used but new looking rifle. When I load the tube and cycle a round I often get two or more bullets at a time trying to chamber locking
up the action not allowing it to close.
Do any of you know of this problem and its fix?
Thanks
Winchester 9422 question
Sounds like the cartridge cut-off is either not doing its job or isn't being tripped when the action cycles. The cartridge cut-off is supposed to allow only one cartridge out of the magazine each time the lever is cycled. No one can diagnose the actual cause over the internet, so you'll need to disassemble the rifle and try to see what is going on with the cut-off as you cycle the lever...
If you haven't taken the rifle apart and given it a thorough cleaning, that is a good place to start. 9422's are usually VERY reliable....
Not cycling .22 LR in a WMRF gun are you?

Been away a few days,,,,,,That was a good call and I did check,,,,But it is a S and LR model
I asked because I'd seen that before. I've also seen a WMRF
round locked up in the action on a .22 LR 9422.

So the problem is most likely the cartridge stop/
cartridge cutoff. https://www.gunpartscorp.com/products/1020010 Not sure but if you take it down you ought to be able to see if this part is damaged/broken.
