Pistol size comparison online

Here's a handy dandy little comparison of diverse bottom feeding pistols. Check the ones you'd like to see, smallest one comes to the front and each succeeding larger pistol will be placed in the background, or vice versa. Start large and overlay the smaller ones on top to get an idea of comparative size. So far they are not doing a top view, just the side view on size so one doesn't get an idea of thickness.

My understanding is that...

they are adding pistols as they go. Conspicuously absent is the 1911, probably the best known pistol out there and a good one to compare others against sizewise. It will be interesting to see how it develops over time.

Interesting and fun...

generally fairly accurate to know what you have by way of comparison. Certainly faster than me trying to use or generate a program. Probably even cheaper. Just buy it and see, and cross fingers.

I have several locally made Yaqui slides that I use for various pistols. They come in three sizes and are adjustable to fit about anything. Couldn't help but notice that a 1911 or BHP fits in a small size slide, but the Shield requires a medium due to its greater depth through the trigger guard area.
