Fun Day
Little Fat Buddy came over today.
All of y'all have one or two.(little fat buddies)
He had some new pieces and wanted to burn some powder.
I have lottsa land and (hopefully) lottsa time so I said: Come Hither.
He came and we burned powder... lottsa powder.
Little guns I will not mention but we shot a brand spanking new Marlin Guide Gun (45-70) and it was as sweet as Tupelo Honey. (Kinda tight but... new.)
Then we got down to the short rows (my rows).
He had a S%W 460 and we shot it until it was hot. Sweet shooter.
#2 son shot it a bit and I told him to get my Alaskan .454 from the "place."
We shot the Alaskan and I must admit it was a handful.
270 Grain loads at ~ 1850+
I told my son: "It won't hurt...... much."
He agreed.
Lottsa fun here in the woods today.
Life is good boys... i wish it was a bit longer.
I gotta go soak my hand.

Fun Day
Sounds like you're living right my friend.
Any day spent shooting, sure beats a day at work.
Murphy
Fun Day
Sure does Murphy...
and as you know I haven't "worked" for about 13 years.
I am getting soft and my hands feel it.
Old age has its benefits but they are few.
My gravestone is in the yard and I have told the boys:
"When I am out there in the field behind the house (under the buttercups)... I want to hear those bullets whizzing over my head."
Comforting... in a bumpkin kind of way.

Great time with friends and family! Been retired 8 years now and its fun, but age is catching up with me.
