I didn't join here in time to know Pete. I wish I had known him. My life would be the better for it. When the caliber of men that are part of this board have such high praise for someone, that is saying something.

The boys must be young men now. Looked for Alice on the news footage of the families 09/11/17. I didn't know it was possible to feel such a since of loss for someone you only met online. I felt that when Skeeter Skelton died, but I had many years to form those feelings of kinship. My family were all firemen, so it didn't take that long with Pete.

I try to sign his memorial each year. And like others I do think of him often.
