I am not being self serving when I say USE A HOLSTER!
Glocks, S&W M&Ps, XDs etc are need a holster to be safe with a round in the chamber. The "Safety" is on the trigger, like putting the break on top of the gas peddle.
UPDATE: Police say shooting victim had gun tucked in waistband

I am not being self serving when I say USE A HOLSTER!
I have also read from a couple of gunwriters who are former LEOs that one way to tell the good guys from bad is the good guys use a holster. I would never consider carrying a gun without one (well maybe a snubby 38 in the back pocket if I went to see what the dog was pitching a fit about).

They're good guns, but I just can't stick them under the car seat.
