There was a book written about him by a contemporary family member, published in 2014, but I can't find a copy of it anywhere. I got interested in him because I saw a rifle at a gunshow inscribed to him from the 7th Cavalry. It takes a special person to get a presentation rifle from a cavalry brigade.
