Is there anyone selling modified Bisley hammers?
I would like to put one in a .44 Special Flattop, but I'm not interested in the Power Custom version.

Have you tried David Clements? He used to make them...
I bought a good number of them from him last time I stopped by his place and he was still making them then. Give him a call...

I don't think David Clements makes the regular framed, bisley spurred hammers for new model guns. I have made several from standard bisley hammers and it is not hard. In fact, I think Rob Leahy even has one I made for him. Just get a bisley hammer from Midway or Brownells or possible even Ruger, take your regular hammer out of the gun along with the hammer pivot pin and cut off the spur of the original hammer. Place this resulting stub on top of the bisley hammer with the pivot pin inserted through both hammers to hold them in relationship to each other then start grinding and filing the lower bisley grip frame hump off the bisley hammer until it matches the bottom part of the original hammer. Much easier than describing it. I had a spare pivot pin ans slave hammer but someone asked to borrow it and decided they liked it better than I did so they kept it!

I BOUGHT SIX BISLEY HAMMERS WHEN THE FLAT-TOPS FIRST CAME OUT. MY GUNSMITH MADE A TEMPLATE AND MODIFIED THEM ALL QUITE EASILY.
Please share the name of your gunsmith!
I only need one, but I'm happy to pay for one done right.

David Clements doesn't make them.....
No idea if he plans to later, but not at this time.
