Dan Wesson Model 15 --any thoughts, opinions?
Folks,
A older blued DW .357 has caught my eye -- plain six-inch barrel, not a V or VH. Lovely SA pull and very smooth DA pull. Great sights. Factory wooden grips. Around $700.
How does this august tribe vote on this handgun? Thumbs up or down? I know that they can be problematic at times: the cylinder gap needs to be regularly checked as does the tightness of the barrel nut. (Never mind the nut behind the gun ...)

Price is high.
At least for around here. I know of several in the area that are parked on shelves at around $500.
I haven't seen any of the new production ones lately either.
sounds High to me. as well Price is high.
HIGH
Way too high.....
Be aware that the sintered metal trigger and hammer doesn't tolerate a lot of fast DA work.
Otony
Way too high.....
Agreed on "high". M15's also frequently have rough chambers. But, man, those 10" versions could really hit (not necessarily knock over) metallic silhouettes back in the day!

Yes sir Mr. Taffin,
I did read your articles about DWs while researching this particular handgun online.
I'd like to take this opportunity to personally thank you for the tons of enlightening and entertaining articles, penned by you, that have fostered and informed my interest in handguns, especially revolvers. You are a treasure trove of information. Heck, you're a treasure, period.
