The trifecta: S&W Model(s) 65, 66, and 67
Walked into the gun shop that is closest to my home yesterday and -BAM- the revolver section has a trio of lovelies in the revolver section -- the 65, 66, and 67. All in very good condition. And all just under $700 each. Right next to them was a blued Bulldog Pug, also is very decent shape. None of them had been there the week before.
But the real piece de resistance was locked away in the safe, a gun that I had never seen before - an S&W Model 520 in 99% condition. WOWZA! Never fired. No box or anything, but a true Holy Grail gun for me. They let me drool over it a bit before packing it away again in the safe so I could no longer coon finger it and whisper, "My Precious."
Since I just bought two nickeled Model 10s from them (a 4-inch and a 2-inch), I found it hard to justify yet another K-frame. Besides, the week before I spotted a 4-inch pencil barrel nickel Model 10 in another store ...

That`s cool. I bought most of my S&W`s back in the 70`s and 80`s, seeing the price go up like it has scare`s me. I got most of them under 3 hundred a lot under 2 hundred. nobody wanted them old revolvers. that 520 S&W is money in the bank. if you ask me (today) What`s my favorite? it would the 66. tomorrow would be different. I love them all.

K frames are an addiction my own bank account has suffered greatly from in the past, and to which I am still susceptible. Seems like there is always room in the safe for one more.
OTOH, I have for years lamented that S&W never saw fit to make a stainless Model 620 in .357 with a 5" barrel. Just like the old Heavy Duty but magnum capable and weather resistant. Talk about an outdoorsman's gun!

Forget those smaller framed guns and cut a deal for that 520! 357 version of the model 58 41 mag and I think one of the only if not the only fixed sighted N frame 357.
There have been two model 520's from S&W
The original is what you are talking about, the N-Frame fixed sight 357. There was also an L-frame 7 shot that was a short production run.

Thanks Andrew, I did not know about the 7 shot smaller framed gun. I tend to just get excited about the shorter barreled N frame offerings from S&W.
I remember when S&W Did that... as confusing as " M&P"

You obviously have a genetic weakness which will ultimately lead to your demise.
However, if it is any consolation, you will die happy.
Congratulations.

Looking for 65
Is the 65 for sale? Looking for a 65 3" HB, with a case hardened hammer and trigger.
Recall if it fits the bill?
