Any issues with Ruger Lightweight Commander in 9mm?

I really like mine but it recently started having issues returning to battery completely. I read where Ed Head at Gunsite had the same issues and they went away with a Commander 18# spring. I ordered one so we'll see how that does.

Great gun and it's amazingly accurate. I have about 1000 rounds through mine so far. I do prefer the Brownell mags to the factory mags.

Has anyone tried the Gunsite low mount safety....

mentioned by Ed in the review I referenced? Currently backordered at Brownells. Looks interesting.

When I changed my full size stainless Kimber 38 super to 9mm,I ended up with an 18# spring for full power loads.
I have not tried a Gunsite low safety but years ago tried a low safety by, I think, Swenson. It worked well and still have it "somewhere".

My Ruger LW CMD 9mm had the same problem (failure to return to battery). 18 Lb recoil spring solved the problem so far.

Seems to be the pattern. Thx. NT
