It's a shame that an American weapons manufacturer was not selected.

SIG gets contract for new sidearm...
I see what appears to be two different triggers for the 320. All the ones we have in the shop have a more or less conventional looking trigger, with a slight curve to the blade.
But pictures from the Shot Show appear to show a straight bladed trigger that juts forward at a fairly extreme angle.
Anyone have an idea what the difference is?

Seems I read that the Glock 17 came in second place.

I've been waiting for the 5" p320 to come out because the 320 sounds interesting. Anyone have any hand on ?
what happened to "buy American"?
Did they hurry up and sign a contract before Trump was sworn in? Trump might still frown on such a thing.
Exactly. That's our new pistol? Boo. NT

what happened to "buy American"?
It is made entirely in America. SIG no longer builds pistols in Germany.
Essentially an American company with German home office.

what happened to "buy American"?
Made by American workers.
SIG and the flavor of the month.
The VTAC model? The X models? One of those has it.
Apex also sells a flat (ish) trigger (which should be where they stole... er... got the idea from)
As long as the boys get a good dependable sidearm...
capable of saving their asses, I am all for it.
As long as the boys get a good dependable sidearm...
Back when I was active duty, I was given a choice when a choice was available... the M9, M11, S&W 15, 1911... I always chose the 1911... however.. when the 1911 was not available as an option I went with the Sig over the Beretta... it fit my hand much better and I shot it better in qualifying than the M9...
but where does the money go?
Do the profits go back to Germany?
Yep, overseas just like for M9s, M11s, M249s, M240s, FN M16s
Glocks and HKs, etc, etc, etc.
I am dissapointed in that aspect as well. BUT< none
of the other companies stepped up and built their own ammo plant, part of the requirement... S&W, Ruger Colt Could have, if they really wanted it, but bowed out in eurn.

Of the Troops & For the Troops
Although the profits may go overeseas, the job pay
and associated taxes are a much larger number than the profits and directly benefit US workers...although I would prefer profits also stay in the states.
SIG P320
Unless they plan to build a factory in the US and hire US workers, then can the contract and pick any US made platform.
