I'm curious about your dry-fire practice...

some of you are pretty regimented and have dry-fire practice. I'm curious to hear what drills you go through and how often you practice dry firing. If you use a certain target or method, I'm interested to hear it. Thanks.

I wish I could get myself into the groove of a schedule. I do try and do some dry fire every time I carry. I don't get to the range near enough and so I bought an airsof Glock 19 copy that I can shoot in the back yard. It's a gas blowback gun so it is very realistic except for actual recoil. Plus it allows me to do things I normally can't do like night time/low light practice.

Most of mine is at a penny taped to the frig. I'm looking for trigger control plus strengthening my arms & shoulder. In the basement I'm firing at a white wall with aiming point & bring the gun up to eye level & practice picking up sight picture quick as possible.

Thanks. How much time do you spend on it? NT

Not near enough. I do however practice by dry firing my Ruger Liberty 45 & a S&W 67. I spent a couple years dry firing my M-17 & Single Six but stopped with the rimfires & went to the centerfires. For rifles I'm blessed to shoot air rifle in my basement.

Laserlyte insert

I picked up one of the Laserlyte inserts a couple of months ago. I use it in my carry revolver and a SAA mostly point shooting inside also outside at night. With some drawing and aimed fire. 1/2 hour twice a week is all I have had time for lately. I can see some improvement though during weekly range trips.
