Good news
The tumor is gone, and Dashiell is resting. Surgery was long and challenging, but the entire tumor was resected today. I saw the tumor, and named it.
The surgeon, Graeme Pitcher, is our family's hero. What good fortune brought him to cross our paths during this ordeal is not for me to say.
We await pathology and blood work, and will continue with aggressive therapy to finish off any "cancer dust". Our long road back to good health and cure is not yet clear.
But this is a huge step forward. An unspeakable burden has been lifted.
The love, kindness, and prayers of our friends' and families' have lifted us. You have offered us courage and hope, of which we have been in short supply for a while.
Thank you to every of you for keeping Dahsiell's well being in your hearts.
