10mm Magnum? Same length as 357 & 44 magnums. Same
power range as the 41 magnum, but, it can be housed in a 6 round GP100 or Python or S&W L frame... Moon clips of course 10mm and 40 S&W, can be used as well...
Thoughts? I was thinking a Ruger Match Champion or S&W Mountain Gun on an L frame with this cartridge would be a great field gun...
Mike McNett of Double Tap had a S&W 310 Night Guard reamed out to 10mm Mag at the recent Gunsite Revolver Rondevous... He of course loads for the 10mm Mag.

So, would a .401 Powermag fit?
Or does the rim make it too large for a six shot cylinder?
We have two stainless GP100s in the shop, 4" barrels with adjustable sights, chambered in .38 Special. I keep thinking I need to send one to Clements for his 10mm conversion. Never considered the 10mm Magnum, but it couldn't hurt!

Per Clement's website on the issue of 10mm conversions...
"The Talo exclusive Wiley Clapp model and Match Champion model will not work for this conversion. The front of the cyl. is tapered making it too thin to bore out to a larger cal."
The GP100 is tempting as Tony said.
Swap a regular cylinder for the tapered one!
It is the barrel configuration that is attractive, short shroud and slab sides.
I will still utilize one of the .38 Special versions however.....

I am asking Ruger& Lipsey's about this as a production gun
Not a custom... Use a non tapered cylinder from the start some folks might enjoy the full lug GP. I dont know...

I have two GP100s, one SS 6" with adjustable sights, one blue 4" with fixed sights. Both have the short lug.
I don't care for the full lug, but saw the .38 full lug as a reasonable alternative as Clement will slabside the barrel, removing some extra weight.
However, if Ruger built a dedicated 10mm with short lug, I would be ALL over it. I would be very surprised if they went 10mm Magnum, my guess is we would be far more likely to see a standard 10mm. I would be happy either way!

Absolutely. I would just have to buy one.

Oh, well if it becomes available I would buy one. NT

I like short-lug GP's myself...
