So, I use-ta-had a Siamese Mauser in .45-70.
I noted that the magazine was considerably longer than the loaded round. So off it went to a fella we know and now it's a .45-90! Probably could have gone longer yet but Midway had brass on sale so...

Have always thought they were cool as a 45-70, must be ultra neat as a 45-90.

Cool!
I have another Siamese bare action and was thinking along those lines.
Thanks fellas!
The barrel (and maybe the whole conversion?) is from Navy Arms. It's a dreadfully heavy barrel, 26" long with a profile more fitting to an artillery piece. Not one I'd like to lug up a mountainside. I told my gunsmith that I was lengthening the chamber as a "weight savings".
Bring it to CSA? NT

Will do.
I had it there, umm, 2(?) years back in it's original .45-70 trim trying to tease Rob a bit. He wasn't biting.
Rob Leahy wouldn't shoot it???
I thought he shot my 50 Alaskan Siamese but maybe not. He's a big powder puff sometimes...maybe he won't see this reply.
Oh, he shot it all right.
I believe Rob's introduction to reloading was processing brass for his boss's Siamese in .45-70. I teased him for a bit by pointing out every Siamese Mauser I could find for sale and then with one in the flesh at CSA.
