Man, it's been one of those weekends with gun issues...
...biz partner shot the front sight off the Glock 19 during her CCL test (vanished into the ether of course but she went on to shoot almost a perfect score with no front sight)...had factory ammo jam multiple times in my wife's gun during her CCL test (she passed with different ammo but it rattled her badly)...had a squib factory load that thankfully didn't eject or my biz partner would have shot again with an obstruction. Then there was the novice shooter beside me at the indoor range trying out his new ported 4" 500 S&W while I was trying to sight in a .22 target pistol. That's more trouble than I've had in many months jammed into 2 range sessions. At least no one was hurt and my wife and my biz partner passed their CCLs.
Hope y'all had better shooting than us!
What type of ammo was......
......malfunctioning in your wife's pistol? What type of pistol?
I want to know for future reference, please.

My wife had a squib during our Gusite course. CCI Blaser
Brass case 9mm ammo. I bought about 5,000 rounds of it for this course, Daughter, daughter's fiance, Jan and my self all used it, one squib... fortunately, the bullet jammed in the lead and would not allow another round to chamber...

Of the Troops & For the Troops
It happens that way sometimes.
CSA often turns into a place where I find all the weak, uncleaned, FUBARed and just plain wrong things on all the arms I brought. There's been times when 90% of what got brought down needs something done when we get home.
Sorry the factory fodder didn't work out. It's amazing actually how often this DOESN'T happen when one considers the volumes involved.
It was a Glock 42 and the ammo was...
Winchester low recoil 380 FMJ. Hopefully it feeds in one of my other 380s. To be fair, her technique is still improving and she limp wrists sometimes but when we switched to regular round nose FMJ, the issue went away. It's the nose profile on the FMJ that doesn't work well.
However, the 9mm issue is totally different. I would stay away from Freedom Ammunition 124 gr 9mm FMJ. Lots of issues in 4 different pistols. They are sending me a full replacement but I'm only going to use it on the range where I can work through malfunction drills.
