Favorite hardcase for multiple handguns?

by Bryan @, Tuesday, September 27, 2016, 21:11 (2981 days ago)

I've got such a mix of plastic and hard cases for pistols gathered over the years. None of them are really ideal for multiples. I looked at Cabelas recently and didn't see anything I liked.

What's your fav travel case for multiple handguns? I'm not looking for anything long like a rifle case. Need it to fit behind the car seat, in the floorboard, etc. Doesn't need to be TSA compliant. Thanks.

I use a camera/equipment case from Harbor Freight. 18x6x13 outside with plenty of open space inside for several guns, magazines and accessories. You could add your own foam if desired but I just pack mine with holstered guns or zip cases. Lightweight aluminum construction.

When I went to Raton this year for the Shootist's Holiday, I took 2 suitcases loaded with pistol rugs. That actually worked pretty well going into hotels, etc.

I picked these up at the local Cabela's in preperation for

the next CSA shoot IK-231828 & IK-231097. With the flood repairs on two houses and an F-Line turn around at work chances a slim I will be able to make it. Both cases are first rate construction but very "gunny" looking.

I will check those out. Thanks...

I bought a large Pelican case that holds close to a dozen handguns at one time. It is TSA approved and easily lockable and I love it. Not light but darn tough.

Which case is that Rob? NT

It appears the original maker went out of business and these are being offered now. My steel version is heavy but oh so indestructible. It has survived several airplane rides and numerous road trips.

They say follow the link from their Accessories Webpage, but there isn't a link to follow so they may be discontinued. :-(

I've got some good cases for my O/U....

they are made for my sporting clays gun and suitable for TSA...gorilla tough and lockable...maybe I will use that. I bet I could get 8-10 guns in there and it's not full length.
