If you wanted to eliminate a Springfield 1911 locking....
mainspring housing, what would it require, besides the obvious new mainspring housing? I'm guessing the hammer spring may be different and possibly the hammer strut? On a Parkerized Loaded model, who would make the best drop in replacement? I've had a few of these over the years and never had nerry a problem, but it still irritates me that it's there...kinda like its something that could potentially go wrong. Have any of you guys ever even heard of a Springer MSH lock causing issues?
