Any fans of WST powder?

The recent versatile powder thread got me thinking again. I love Unique and Bullseye...have about 16# of each but would like more. WST is popular among 1911 shooters and is pretty versatile. The main thing is I know where to get some and Unique and BE are tough to find in quantity.

Who likes WST and what do you use it for?

Any fans of WST powder?

I like WST. I use it for light to medium loads in 45 COLT, 38 Special, 357 Mag, 32/20, 30 Carbine (pistol), 44 Special, 44 Mag, full power 45 ACP, 9mm. It has more bulk than 231 (my most used powder)so light charges do fill the case more. I find it clean burning, easy to meter and all my loads are accurate enough for me. For most cartridges, there are better powders for higher power loads but it's great in 45 ACP. Try it.

Thx for the comments. I don't fiddle too much trying...

to find the best powder. I enjoy using versatile powders and shooting more than reloading.

WST for me would primarily be for 45 ACP but I like the option to use it elsewhere if needed.

I have about 5# of it. It works well in .45 and 9mm. I think I have used it in .38 special as well.

Thx Jared. NT
