I will list a few that I will work into owning at some point...

- Artillery Luger...they just speak to me and they are a mechanical work of art

- 1903 Männlicher Schönauer carbine in 6.5x54 is a big one on my list...the full mannlicher stock with butter knife bolt handle, rotary magazine and peep sight...so nice...handled a rebarrel in 7x57 by Griffin & Howe last night...close but not close enough

- falling block (Fahrquason, etc) in .360 x 2 1/4" black powder express...fantastic lines and plenty of horsepower for most needs

- best grade English Damascus 12 gauge double - would get sub-tubes to shoot 20 & 28 gauge in it at a fraction of the price

Most of the new guns don't speak to me and I own or have owned most of the current ones that do interest me. What are some classics on your list?

Skeeter Gun- Ruger 7 1/2" Flat Top in 44

Dirty Harry revolver- S&W 6 1/2" M29 (only two 44's I would ever buy, you know, me being a 41 guy)

Dirty Harry pistol- Auto Mag in 41 caliber

Dough Boy rifle- Springfield 1903

Patton carry pistol- Colt 1903 pocket .380

Hammer pistol- Colt National Match 1911 38 Super

Teddy rifle- Winchester 1886 levergun

Teddy Double- Holland & Holland double barrel rifle (prefer 400/450 caliber though)

Though not necessarily a classic but a West Texas Flattop in 41 Magnum sure would be a must have for me.

At this point in life, I'm still dreaming of an 1885 Highwall or clone thereof in 38-55. A good classic singleshot hunting rifle has always eluded me. The 1885 "just looks right" to my eye but so far have yet to find one while sojourning up north. Someday, perhaps.

The Sharps are dandy rifles in their way. But they just don't "do it" for me. Oh, I'd like to have one (along with one of about every other firearm I've ever seen) but it's not at the top of the (current) list. :) I'm VERY curious as to whether it'll be a modern bore or if they stuck with the "authentic" oversized bore.

It's my first 38-55 (and I don't plan for others right now) so it's not as critical as for most people. JT might hit me with a ruler for saying I don't need other 38-55s but I have other cartridges I want to work with more. I will just size whatever is needed for this one and call it good.

The only multiples I've got are in 22LR. Everything else is one caliber/one gun. That does tend to simplify things quite a bit.

My interest is mostly in products from the 60's and forward. However on my wish list the only thing from that era would be a S&W 57. Previously I had wanted a Winchester 86 although I later decided that a Marlin 95 Cowboy might be a better user, but I never could justify one so never bought one.

Thinking about this subject kind of suprises me at the number of cool old guns I've owned. Many of them I'd like
To have back, but can't really justify them at the moment. Colt 1903's, 1851's an original 1911(no-a1), 1899 smith first models, -895 Winchester, Trapdoor Springfield, Krag, Broomhandle Mausers, old SMLE's and Mausers.

One I'd like to own that I have yet to get to is a Luger, just for the coolness factor. I would like to have an original 1903 Springield; I have had a couple of sporterized ones. On that note, a Garand is something I've never ponied up for and would like to own. I've had a few M-14's, so similar bit not the same...

I would love to have some kind of double rifle some day. Even to the point of me searching for a neat old 20 ga and having a pair of .45 caliber barrel blanks here... An original would be super cool, but something that fits in Indiana's goofy deer calibers would be even better.

I'd love to have an original 1873 Winchester but a good repro will suffice (and currently is!)

I just got my first 03A3 and Trapdoor and I think they are so interesting. I keep pulling them out and fiddling with them...so I'm leaving them out while I reload just to look at. Honestly, they are as cool as anything I've had including vintage Class 3. I don't have a full size Garand (yet) but I do like my real Tanker model. It's fun and interesting. Would love to have more Martinis also (steel not liquid).

Original Lugers are very cool. I just have a Jones for an Artillery model. Might as well swing for the back fence.

The Krag and Mannlicher-Schoenauer 1903 have eluded me so far but not forever.

I've owned a lot of vintage pistols and revolvers but not a 1903 or Broomhandle yet. To be completely candid, I would love a Howdah and Tranter or Bland revolver. I have a friend with several of both!

I would be quite happy with an M-S as you describe. 6.5x54, of course.

ANY of the the big, or even most minor, English names; Holland, Rigby, et al. Particularly if it were chambered in .350 Rigby Magnum! Double rifles get extra attention, no matter which calibre.

Classic square bridge Mausers with preferences towards classic calibers like .275 Rigby (7x57), etc.

A small frame Sako...sorry, their model numbers haven't been locked in yet. In some appropriate caliber, e.g., .222, 5.6x52R (if even possible?).

ANY Triple-Lock.

A bit off course, a Volcanic pistol. Any caliber.

Schultz & Larsen, 7x61 S&H, of course.

Hi-Powers, Lugers, a Lahti (just because I have a reputation to maintain), nearly any Colt SAA, and, oh my, the list goes on and on.
