Not far from I lived and north of Scott Ambler...
good country...far more game than it looks like.
Beautiful country, in it's own way...
Growing up in the Amazon Basin was "normal" for us. Visiting kinfolk in SW Colorado was also "normal". The San Juans were my idea of Coloradoan beauty. So imagine my reaction after being chosen for an intern ministry in Colorful Colorado - only to find out that parts of Colorado look like Kansas and Nebraska...
Yup pretty country, not the mountains but pretty
If you get to Denver Id buy you lunch...

Not all of Western KS is flat. Lot of terrain around Cheyenne County. Arikaree Breaks etc. I spent a lot of time out there and in Rawlins County in undergrad. Great country.

Scott was nice enough to show me around the Cimarron Sunday.
True...I was generalizing but I lived there 2x...
land around Scott City, Garden City, etc looks flat from the highway but there's a lot of terrain once you get off the road. The Lake Scott State Park in particular is very pretty.
Plow a flat looking field that's a mile long and you will see how much the terrain changes.
Of course your correct in that area.
Love to camp at the Scott County State Park. Beautiful area. I'll stay here in my Hills! Love them.
Long way from nowhere
Look north and tell me if you see Yuma!
