Steel plug gauges
I'm looking for a set similar to what Grizzly Industrial sells to measure bore diameters. If they still sell it, I can't find it on their website.
Brownells doesn't seem to carry them, which surprises me. My Google Kung fu seems weak on this search.
Who sells them?

caveat is that I have NOT done business with them.

I bought mine years ago...

...but I would have pirchased them, from Enco, or CDCO, or someplace of the sort.
Haven't pulled the "plug" yet (Get it? It's a joke, son)
But here's the folks I've found to be very reasonably priced => http://www.tormach.com/store/index.php?app=ecom&ns=prodshow&ref=33247
For my needs, they would suffice.
I just bought some from grainger
They had to order but only took a week to get them in. They sell individually so you don't have to buy whole set. Vermont brand, about three bucks each. Grainger.com and search.
I was going to buy a set.....
...and then I realized that I could just use sized cast bullets to do the same thing.
Here is what I bought
and from whom I bought it:

If I recall correctly, Alan Harton recommended this set to me. Definitely a case of "buy once, cry once." They have been very useful and served me well.
I will go this direction. Thx for all the replies! NT

My set is made in China. ..
Bought off ebay. Every plug that I've used I have measured and every one has been dead on... Doesn't take high tech to make accurate plug gauges....
I bought mine years ago...
ENCO is where I bought mine. I had a coupon if you spent $100 or more you got $20 off then I also got free shipping. I bought the small set that goes up to .249" and the set that goes from .250-.500". Be sure to get the minus gauges,
I ordered this set. Thx. NT
