Fav casting furnace?

I've got a Waage 25# pot for ladle pouring. Temp controls are excellent. I highly recommend it but it's not listed on the website. It is usually in stock or they can make it the same week you order it.

I'm looking for a good bottom pour furnace. The Lee pots don't really interest me. Besides Lee, the two main choices that I'm aware of are the RCBS Pro-Melt and Lyman 25. From what I've read, the RCBS gets better reviews and has a better warranty but many are replacing the RCBS guides with Lyman parts. I'm wondering what the experiences here have been.

What is your fav bottom pour furnace and why?

RCBS 20#, have two for different alloys. If I was buying today, I would look into the new Lyman pot.

You would look at the Lyman 25 digital? NT

since I'm not in the market I don't know much about them except they are new...If I was in the market, I would not ignore them, I would research them before making a decision even tho I am happy with the RCBS pots.

I know it took them a year or two to get them on the market after announcing them. Not sure what the hold up was. The PID would be nice, and it looks like a nice pot, but their customer service sucks.

I wish they were the same price but they are way diff.

I don't decide everything based upon price obviously but they are over $100 apart. In the end, I will probably get the RCBS and add some upgrades and come in at 2x the price point. But it will be right.

Does RCBS still have the $50 rebate? If you can find one on sale and use the rebate the price is about the same.

Mine is overkill for most casters [Magma Master Pot] but it is bullet proof & after many tons of alloy it still makes bullets for Creeker.
