Marlin Golden 39M (Mountie)
I have a very clean (no wear, dings or scratches) Marlin Golden 39M. Picked it up in a trade years ago and shot it very little. Never thought about selling it until I noticed one for sale in Mena a short while back at $925. Looked at them on Gunbroker recently and see the prices have risen a lot in the past few years thought perhaps not to that level. Thought I might see if someone in Arkansas wanted to make an offer on mine. Would prefer to sell face to face so buyer can examine it before buying. No box or papers. Serial number begins with 22 so I believe it was made in 1978.

One of the greatest .22 rifles ever made. I wish you had brought it to CSA in Clarksville so I would have seen it.

I would like very much to attend that some year. I live in west AR east of Mena. I guess next time I will see some posts about upcoming CSA and talk with you or someone about attending it. The pictures were great.

The 39 is one of my all time favorite 22s. One of my favorites is a 39D it has the same 20" skinny barrel as a Mountie but has a pistol grip. The TDS is cool too.
I love my Centennial. It was at CSA. NT

We had intended to bring Miss Melodie's Mountie but...
somehow got away without packing it.
I would encourage you to do so.
It is my favorite group of people all doing one of my favorite activities! It appears as if you are only a couple hours away...should be a piece of cake.
As to the value of yours, 39's have been creeping up around here. Seems like a decent one will run $600 or so and anything special (color case, octagon barrel, older) will head north of there by quite a bit. I don't see very many Mounties but they do command a premium. Good luck with yours!
