This was my part and he got the other 8# of Unique and some Lil Gun. No WST and very little Reloader 7 at the show. I was surprised to find 8# of Bullseye and Unique. Prices were decent at about $150 per 8#.

In NJ you would be a felon and the police would break your door down and arrest you for owning too much gunpowder. Kind of nuts ,

That's a lifetime supply of Bullseye. Wow

That's what I'm hoping. NT

One of many reasons I don't live in NJ.

I don't know how some of you keep your sanity living where you do.

interesting.

That little bit of powder would give them the vapors. If they saw my reloading room they would go into full cardiac arrest.

I am glad we got there early. I went through the show again after you left and didn't see a pound of unique epanywhere else. The LilGun was all gone when I went by again too. I still think you should have bought that 48# keg of 296.

You should have bought the 45# keg of 296. NT

We could have split it

I figured Unique would be sparse but was a little surprised to see those 3 other 8# of Bullseye. Glad you got the other 8# of Unique.

Tempting! Might keep that in mind for next time...

by Bryan Pettet @, Sunday, April 10, 2016, 13:10 (3152 days ago) @ Jared

we could probably negotiate it down some and never have to buy 296 again.

It was a little high in my opinion. I know times change but for my WC820 I paid around $11-12 a pound shipping included.

I talked to the guy that had that opened keg of Bullsey. He said he didn't think he would be able to sell the 8# jugs, so he split that one up and poured the powder into ziplock bags of 1#. He said he had two or 3 8# of unique and that is what he did because no one would buy 8 # of unique at a time. He said Alliant has only been sending him the 8# and can't get one pound cans.

Interesting - NT

Universal vs. Universal Clays

by bj @, Sunday, April 10, 2016, 16:41 (3152 days ago) @ Jared

Apparently the names were changed at some point and Universal is now the name for what used to be called Universal Clays. Maybe they did it to reduce confusion. I did a search for burn rates and some of the show "Universal Clays" while some show "Universal". Apparently Universal is somewhat interchangeable with Unique in burn rate, maybe in charge weights. And it seems to be more available.

Next time I'll have to remember to print out those burn rate tables to take with me.

Here's a burn rate chart from Grafs...

I wonder if they would take $500 for the keg? NT
