? New England Firearms Pardner .410

A friend has one of these in good shape and wants to sell it to me. Is this the same as the H&R Pardner ? If so, can this frame be fit with a new barrel in 357 Mag ? Might be fun to play with if a new barrel can be obtained to replace the .410 barrel. What is the thing worth today ? What say yee that are in the know....

I don't think the shotgun frame is made to accept it

And won't handle the pressure. I saw a good deal on a 223 pardner even and when I did a little research I was hearing the high pressure loads in some calibers were auto eject - they popped open when fired.

First, the single shot H&R and NEF guns are dead. Production has ceased and there are no more accessory barrels to be had.

Second, the .44 Mag and .357 barrels could be fit to the shotgun frames when they were offering the service. Those were the only centerfire barrels to be offered on the SB1 version of the receiver.

Third, a .410 Pardner is probably worth around $75 to $100. Prices may creep up over the years to come, but there were a lot of them made, and a lot of them still around.

Thanks, guess I'll pass on the offer and tell him its worth 75-100 if he can find a buyer.

Just a note that in OUR area, the .410s are getting about

$150-175. Yes, USED guns albeit fairly gently used.
