Gila Jorge, let me try again
did you load your rounds on the Rockchucker with Reading dies, because they were not feeding right, loading them on your progressive ? I don't know if mine aren't feeding in my new Bar-sto barrel because it's my dies or ? I load mine on a progressive. Do you think the Comp dies helped? I know this is not a Sixgun problem.

Comment: I load 45acp on a Dillion 550 woth RCBS dies. The only problem I have had has been with OAL. If I dond get it right they are too long for revolver cylinders. Had to reseat a bunch of LSWC's
Not Gila, but look at your feedramp. and what is the exact
type of jam?

I've used RCBS steel and carbide, redding , Lee, & hornady
nothing works as well as Dillon'[s dies in my experience. but they all loaded consistent feeding ammo. can you posty a picture of you cartridges that won't feed?

Thanks guys I'm loading
for a new Bar-sto barrel for my Glock 21. it's been back to the factory 3 times. Every bullet rn,rnfp, swc, they all jam different. You can see where bullets are marked from not feeding. Some times on the ogive, some where its seated and never the same.?????????????????????????????????
forgot to mention
I can put stock Glock barrel back in gun and all loads cycle just fine

Gila's problem was that he had a quantity of cartridges loaded to the wrong OAL. So he ran them through a seating die to bring them back to spec. It sounds like you've got something else going on with your barrel. Especially as they feed fine in the factory barrel but not in the replacement.
forgot to mention
Sounds like you already know that the problem is the barrel, not the ammo. - JM.

I haven't bought any BAr-Sto barrels since Irv was running it, but they were always great 1911 barrels that gave true match accuracy when fitted properly. A common trait was that the chambers were real tight and they could be a bitch to get them feeding properly.
My guess is that your chamber needs reamed. I'd shoot for about .002 under SAAMI MAX, if you're not there already. I'd also polish in an .002 radius at six o'clock on the break-over point, where the feed ramp meets the chamber. I'd have thought Bar-Sto would automatically do those two things on any barrel that was returned for feeding problems.
That should get you running.

Sal I had REdding dies on a Hornady Lock and Load Progressive press. Later to fix the problem got a Redding Comp Seating die....its expensvie but I had to reseat but not recrimp...to an OAL of 1.235 in the 45 ACP and that fixed my problem....Had been loading a bunch of other rounds looking for the right bullet combo to work my comp unit and be accurate...found it with the Nosler 185 JHPs....could not use lead as they wre vaporixing in the comp...and covering my red dot sight...with the JHPs no such problem adn I am able to safely gt to 1225 fps..THESE ARE PLUS P LOADS...
Not Gila, but look at your feedramp. and what is the exact
Right Rob: forgot to mention butthe gunsmith has been all over my three comptetiion guns and polished to a farethewell as each had problems...and then they did not like certain profiles...again more polishing...feel fairly confident now that these three will handle anything reasonable....I talked with FNs competitive shooters over on FB and they had to do the same things to their guns and had the same problems I have had and there is no majic bullet (sorry) save perseverance.
Thanks guys I'm loading
My gunsmith went out into the field with me as I was shooting and trying and noted all the problems...it was not simple. I am certain the barrel meets or exceeds BarSto's specs...but you really need a good pistolsmith to work with you...and it takes time and expense....but finally when it cooks....you will have achieved what you desire...patience in the face of frustration and anger is a prerequisite....

Exactly....but although mine were loaded to the factory OAL...that was too long for the type of bullet I had and the way it fed into the gun...so I had 1500 to shorten to 1.235 OAL...and per Jim Killebrew did not need to recrimp just seat in deeper which I did separatly on the Rock Chucker and not the Hornady Progressive.
Gila Jorge, let me try again
Had exact came problem with SWCs...but then found they ataomized in the comp unit..so now have a bunch for my revolvers...
Thanks to everyone for their input.
Gila, I will try the bullets that worked for You. I bought the gun frome my son and since I cast I wanted to shoot lead. I will keep working on it. like I said I bought 6000 Lazer Cast 200 gr.rn. I know they work with my Kimber so they will get used up, Thanks again Guys
