These are the N frame round butt elk grips that were recently brought to my attention by Hoot.
The seller on Gunbroker is bigmtnman. I like the grips and his service and turnaround were fast. Recommended.

Nice grips... Tell me what recoil is like with full loads

I love stag grips, but with that style of grip beats up my knuckles unmercifully.
Will do but you know me...

I have a set of stags on my short Model 19, with a Tyler adapter. Recoil with full-snort .357s is "stimulating", but tolerable. Never tried it without the Tyler adapter, and don't plan to. The Tyler helps greatly.
Will do. NT

What's the proper term for that shape/size?

I need a set like that (simple though, nothing fancy) but don't know what to ask for in my "WTT" post.

some call them combat grips. Here's the listing to show how the maker described them.

Fast!

It looked like a nice set at that auction. I like the way he matches the grip frames; the bevels and radii. On his 'fit' guns they match very well.
Like I mentioned, he's on my gonna-wanna list....once I decide which pistol.
Which guns are you thinking about? NT

Oh, I don't know.

I have a few what deserve it but most of them have grips numbered to the pistol and it seems like bad ju-ju to break that up.
One very viable candidate is a Colt New Service which started life as a .455 Eley and was shaved along the way. I recently found a .455 unmolested cylinder and have the thought to bring it back to its' original configuration. That may well involve pretty-in' it up a bit and, if it does, purty grips would be in the running.
There are a couple of newer models which may need a bit of 'gussy-ing' as well.
Life is full of choices...those are all good. NT

Looks nice and trim, at first glance it looks like a satin nickled Modler 19! I don't know what range of loads you plan on shooting through it but I would agree that a T-Grip would help with recoil and handling in general. It would for my hands at least. I've always had trouble with N frames fitting my hands properly. I've got two now, one 1917 with service grips and one modified with Magnas. I need to get a T-Grip and try out on one or both.

For me a silver Tyler T would make it perfect. But it is a beauty. J.michael
I used to shoot a lot of heavy-ish loads...

when it was my main carry pistol in Alaska. Then the 500 Linebaugh carried that role and this was semi-retired. I shot it loose once and Rob Applegate tightened it up for me. Haven't talked to him in a long time. Where's he at these days?
The Tyler adapter is good advice. I will see how it goes. Thx for the compliments.

How's the fit?

I have long been impressed by the way he blends his grips to his pistols. The radii match; the bevel matches; in short, they look like they belong on that particular pistol. Always wondered how much variation there really was between this'un and that'un. Good look for your Mountain Gun!
