Voice from the past...
Hello men. It's been a long time since I talked to many of you. I hope all of you are having a good 2016. I regret to see that Doc passed recently. Most of you knew I was in Alaska for about 10 years. Some of you knew I moved to New Mexico for 5 years. Now I'm back in TX after being gone for 20 years. Work keeps me busy but I'm looking forward to doing some more shooting and doing a little buying too!
Just wanted to say hello and I've missed your voices.

Nice to hear from you, Bryan!
Hey Ken...
I was going to reach out to you actually. Heard you might be selling a few FAs. If so, I would like to hear about it?

It's been a while...welcome back.

Welcome back Bryan, looking forward to seeing your posts.
Good to hear from you, Bryan!
Couple of us were recently wondering where you had been. Glad to hear all is well!
Good to hear from you, Bryan!
Rumors of my demise were greatly exaggerated...and a little early.
Been through Coffeyville several times, always think of you
.
Now that's a blast from the past...
That was only like 16-17 years ago. Wow. Hope you are well.

Thanks! I see the usual riff raft around here. Thought you guys would have run off Leahy by now. Disappointing.
Indeed it has...
Thanks and hope you are well.
You all realize the "Bryan Pettet" is a made up charector
sort of an alter ego of Jim Taylor, right?
Teryy Murback has Wes Dakota... Jim has this Bryan Pettet persona...

I'm Jim when he was younger...and lighter. Same attitude.
Yes, you and i looked for him when he was here in AK
kinda like the Yeti....heard reports but no one actually saw him !
welcome back Bryan !!

Now that's not entirely correct...maybe 90% true. Did anyone ever come out to the villages I was working in to say hi? Nope...y'all were too busy eating reindeer sausage.
At least Rob pretended to be nice (he really liked my family better than me). There was the time he took me out in his boat to hunt deer one weekend. We saw none. It was cold and wet. He slept inside the cabin. I slept outside. Never mind...that's a lousy story.

Welcome home Bryan. Hope life has been treating you well.
There will be a CSA shoot in Clarksville, Arkansas the 1st of April (No, it's not a joke). Hopefully, you aren't too far down in Texas to make it over for a weekend.

That was a great trip. I had lost the photos long ago. Send them sometime Rob. Great memories and we sure didn't need to tip any animals over for that to happen.
Doing fine brother

It is ALWAYS good to see old friends, you have many!

The same Bryan I sold a bunch of Ruger parts to along with a brass bisley grip frame when still in Alaska? If so I have wondered where you wandered off to and believe it or not, that same brass bisley grip frame found it's way back here to Oregon :)
Hey that's me...
Wow. That was a few moons ago.
Are you still flying your hawk?
Just the other day, I was wondering what had become of you?
Are you still flying your hawk?
Good question. My last hawk (a very large female ferruginous...think medium sized eagle) died of West Nile. It wasn't fun. I've since moved to TX and haven't replaced her but I'm not done with falconry. Not by a long shot. Using a wild animal to hunt with? Totally awesome.
Are you still flying your hawk?
Sorry to hear that. I'm pretty sure the one I'm talking about was a Redtail Hawk that brought with you from Alaska.
If any of you folks are NOT on the facebook CSA page
Add me please ... Jim Nelson, we're "friends" on FB
Redtail hawks...
Ahhh....well there's no confusing a redtail with a ferruginous. They are twice as big as the redtail.
Huh...I never brought a hawk out of Alaska. I released that one the day we moved out of Alaska. I did trap another one in New Mexico. You probably are thinking of that one. That was a good bird.
