I want to buy a S&W Model 10.....
.......looking for a blue, round butt, 4" heavy barrel example. No MIM and it must be in pretty good condition. Anyone know of a decently priced one available, please let me know. I let my last one go and have felt stupid for doing so ever since.
Otony
Not round butt or heavy barrel...
A friend has a couple of these old gentlemen who have spent the past 70 years in a Kansas National Guard armory and were recently released to a few select "inner circle" folks.
Early 50s production 4 screw M10 fired maybe 50 times and cleaned to mil standards and put back in the locker.
A few chigger bites on the sharp edges but nearly complete parkerizing. Crispy crisp action.
They don't make them like this any more and a couple are for sale.

Hmmm, I would be interested in one.......
.....could you email me in regards to those?

Very Cool!
May I ask how much?

I think he wants around $500ish per revolver.
I will check on details when I get back into the office on Monday.

Tony, my S&W M10 4" HB is not for sale.....
....but I do have a very nice 5" standard barrel Model 10 (mid-70s vintage) that I would be willing to part with and could make you a good deal on (or trade, if you would prefer to trade).
So, Glen, we need to talk!
I have some stuff I've been meaning to give you. This week looks pretty crowded, but next week works.
Otony
My schedule is pretty flexible....
...let me know what works for you.
My schedule is pretty flexible....
Turns out I have Friday off this week, with no agenda.
Otony
Maybe Lenita and I will....
...come over to WW on Friday for lunch, etc. I'll talk to her and see what she has planned.
A fella should ALWAYS have at least one Model 10.....
just sayin'.
A fella should ALWAYS have at least one Model 10.....
I have a matched pair of HB model 10s, with a pair of Don Hume Threepersons holsters that I used to play around at two-handed shooting a while back.
Main thing I learned from the exercise was that I ain't no Elmer Keith.....
Very few are, Gordon.
Especially me!
