....you all realize I have a distinct penchant for the weird, right? This one has no grips (duh). Going to whittle out a set from some nice cherry I have stored here.

When I was 19-20 I had a friend who was an old Montana cowboy. In winter, he always wore a red mackinaw cap with earflaps and a red yarn ball on top. I asked him why he didn't wear a cowboy hat and he says "Hell boy, that's summer gear. Seen too many frostbit ears under them things!"
Bud had an old birdshead 455 that had been cut for ACP's, a bullet mould and an ancient reloading press. His loads weren't hot but they shot right to that old Webley's sights and some of the best sixgun fun I ever had was helping that old gent burn them up. I have wanted wanted one ever since.

Otony, depending on what style grips you whittle out, a Tyler grip adaptor for a Smith K-frame should fit that gun nicely. Got one on my DA-only Enfield and it helps a bunch to handle the heavy DA trigger.
Only problem, of course, is FINDING a Tyler.....

Always thought of them as a sort of French "Remington 51". Love 32's as well. That sure is a nice one!
Except for two tiny dings in the serrated muzzle cap.....

......it is perfect. It does remind a fellow of a Remington 51, but at a fraction of the cost. The design is fairly similar to an FN 1910, but with better safety and mag release placement.

the ugly girl at the dance is often the best fun even if it wears off faster than one wants
