Some of you guys can hunt it T-Shirts & then there's Bob Hatfield & Creeker. While we aren't out west in waist deep snow it does cool off here a bit. I was on Backus Mountain, Brushy Flat a couple weeks ago, mid teens & 20 mph winds. Still it beats sitting in the house.

This is my usual hunting weather in the Potomac Highlands in Randolph County WV. Open sights or low power scopes rule the day.

Picture is several years old for sure. 4229 above sea level at the foot of Bradshaw Hill. I camp in a old Army Tent with a winter liner and an oil heater. Really comfy and warm with carpet remnants for a floor. Been hunting the same area since 79. Deer has been scarce the last several years with a lot of coyote tracks but this year was different. Didn't see any coyote tracks this year. Saw lots of deer and most in the camp nailed one. Beech and wild cherry hit pretty fair.

I have also noticed that when it is anywhere near a full moon I don't see many in the daytime. Several years ago I was driving through West Texas on a bright full moon night and we saw deer feeding at midnight.
Too warm, too close to the full-moon. Disappointing season
