I'm not a .44 guy but, OOF!
nice!!!!
.
I just bought a Ruger #3 from these guys.
They do layaway........
Now that' a nice one! (nm)
.
Those look like FACTORY Stags...
...if that could be established, current bid (about $900) covers the stocks alone.
I don't think these are...
...because they are "gunfighter" profiled (narrowing below/behind the medallion). I am NOT an expert on this, though.
Bill Hamm has a nice pic of factory stag (and ivory) in his excellent article:

Thanks Boge.
I knew I couldn't get THAT lucky. Those came attached to a .357 Flattop for $299 out the door. I put them on my .44 FT and have the .357 waiting for a project.
My 1957 .44 FT....
Serial 5648. Perfected long ago with elephant toof and the barrel at a proper length.
I don't think these are...
Every time I read that article, I learn something new.
Oh, you still got lucky!...
...those are Sambar stags, and worth what you paid for the whole shebang. You got a free Flattop!
My 1957 .44 FT....
Mine is from 1960, cut to 4 5/8, Super Blackhawk hammer and trigger, old army grip frame and elk antler grips.
Superb!!
I think a Super trigger is in order for mine.
My 1957 .44 FT....
We have a winner ...
For the nicest flattop 44
Superb!!
I like it, but she's no beauty queen. Lots of miles on this one.
My post was pretty tongue in cheek.
The story is one of near stupidity. We were Christmas shopping at Cabela's and I strolled through the Gun Library and watched a salesman try and sell the FT to a young buck getting started in the Cowboy games. The pistol was a bit ratty and missing the rear sight blade but had those stags. Young buck was clearly not interested and I asked to see it.
And then I gave it back.
I woke up around 2 in the morning wondering what in the world I had done. Work the next day couldn't end fast enough and I broke a couple of laws getting back out to Cabela's and found it was still available.
Doubly (tripley?) lucky, I'd say.
My 1957 .44 FT....
I love the Ruger banded front sight base with the band cut off, and a custom sight blade. Very nice!
Everyone else is doing it...
Very nice!

That is a real dandy!

Rear sight?
Looks different than stock?
You're gonna have to cut it down
To stay in the club.
HA!
Not happening....with that one.
If'n I quit frittering my dollars away on rifles and fittings, I may even get to some of the pistol projects in the back.
