Nice !! How's it work for you ?
625-4 Mountain Gun in 45 ACP...
BOUGHT MINE brand new twenty years ago for $225.00. Shoots like a champ. Never had to bother with those damned clips as the brass was easily flicked out with a fingernail.
IT has NEVER spent a day since unloaded, but those loads are in full-moon clips, just in case.
And so ti goes.

I'll take it.
Beautiful BTW
Just picked it up a couple of hours ago
It feels good, action is smooth, locks up tight, should be a shooter.
Jeff Quinn has "THE ANSWER" to moon clips ...
In one of his videos. Skip forward to about the 4 minute mark.
625-4 Mountain Gun in 45 ACP...
I missed one here by a few days.
.45 Colt isn't bad at all either.
I'll find an acp model in good time.
Super nice find
625-4 Mountain Gun in 45 ACP...
Nice! I have one and it`s a great shooter, it rides in a Milt Sparks 200aw holster
Gonna nit-pick a bit......
That isn't a Mountain Gun. Yes, yes, it's the same configuration, but that is the Springfield Armory Bicentennial Commemorative Edition, one of 500. The 625-6 45ACP Mountain gun came later, and had the firing pin in the frame.
Not an easy gun to find
and a very handy one, at that. Congrats!
Gonna nit-pick a bit......
Yup, your right Andrew , but it still is a cool S&W
I've never seen one in person.
And I've seen a lot.
I've never seen an 625 Mountain Gun in 45ACP
till a fella up in Alaska offered one for sale here on the board. Yep, I still got it and it ain't going anywhere.
Murphy
I found one in St. Charles, MO
a couple years ago for $500. As much as I liked the idea of keeping it, I was able to pay for all the gas and hotel costs for our move to Boise from the profit. Money well spent.
Mine appeared along with the same in .45 Colt.
Situations dictated that only one was coming home. The decision was agony!
Glad I chose as I did but I still pine for a Colt version.
I've never seen an 625 Mountain Gun in 45ACP
You ain't no fun at all Murph...
You're right ...
... this one isn't a Mountain Gun either, it's a 629-2 Mountain Revolver.
Hey nice ! Thanks for the speed loaders!!

Always wanted one in .45 ACP. I do have a Mountain Gun in 45 Colt and am going to send the cylinder off one of these days to TK Custom and have it cut for moon clips.
