It feels good, action is smooth, locks up tight, should be a shooter.

BOUGHT MINE brand new twenty years ago for $225.00. Shoots like a champ. Never had to bother with those damned clips as the brass was easily flicked out with a fingernail.
IT has NEVER spent a day since unloaded, but those loads are in full-moon clips, just in case.
And so ti goes.
Jeff Quinn has "THE ANSWER" to moon clips ...

I missed one here by a few days.
.45 Colt isn't bad at all either.
I'll find an acp model in good time.
Super nice find

Nice! I have one and it`s a great shooter, it rides in a Milt Sparks 200aw holster
Gonna nit-pick a bit......

That isn't a Mountain Gun. Yes, yes, it's the same configuration, but that is the Springfield Armory Bicentennial Commemorative Edition, one of 500. The 625-6 45ACP Mountain gun came later, and had the firing pin in the frame.
Gonna nit-pick a bit......

I found one in St. Charles, MO

a couple years ago for $500. As much as I liked the idea of keeping it, I was able to pay for all the gas and hotel costs for our move to Boise from the profit. Money well spent.
Mine appeared along with the same in .45 Colt.

Situations dictated that only one was coming home. The decision was agony!
Glad I chose as I did but I still pine for a Colt version.

Always wanted one in .45 ACP. I do have a Mountain Gun in 45 Colt and am going to send the cylinder off one of these days to TK Custom and have it cut for moon clips.
