I remember it was on 9-10-01, he had just picked up a model of 1950 Target .44 Special.

Certainly.

I think about the excitement he had in that post. Just like any of us would have had in finding a Grail gun. The pride and expectation of many fun times to come with it. I never met the man, but still feel a sense of the loss of a kindred soul. I hope his wife and boys are well.

RIP PCM

Very well spoken Andrew.

I just showed Peters last post to my wife. She read the September 10th, but didn't notice the year. She could see the enthusiasm in his post, smiled and said good for him. It was then I pointed out the 2001 and told her the rest of the story. Needless to say, she teared up.

RIP Peter Martin

Pete is one I'll never forget. I remember how excited he was to get that 44. Since the 44 has been my primary caliber for many years, I shared his excitement. When he didn't get the chance to shoot it, it made his death seem even more tragic somehow. The boys must be out of collage by now. I saw a picture of Alice and the boys a few years back in a story about an organization formed for survivors of casualties on 9-11.
