Did a little grinding today, ended up with this......

Very close to the final shape of what I wanted, a copy of a Bark River Bravo 2, at least the blade, the tang not so much. The finish on the bar of 5160 was really rough, took over an hour of surface grinding just to clean it up and get rid of all the tiny pits in it. Now the hard part.....grinding the bevel angles, have to do a little advanced math to figure the right angle to set the work rest, cross my fingers and hope I don't slip while grinding it Sunday.

I am thinking a dark set of Desert Ironwood would look nice, or depending how it turns out I might opt for a set of mixed colored G10 scales.

3 knives I always have handy when I'm camping/hunting.

1. A larger bowie style knive for taking out saplings, etc.

2. A 4" fixed blade hunter for general chores.

3. A stockman or a trapper.

Pretty much covers it all for me.
