...using a K38 as a donor gun, and a rebored K22 barrel. It's a dual-cylinder, 32 WCF / 32 H&R Magnum. Very cool sixgun that shoots like a dream. My pal and brother Shootist Matt Olivier provided the base K38, and another dear Shootist friend, Terry Murbach, provided a vintage cylinder and barrel. I have a custom carved Mike Barranti rig that my pal and brother Shootist Mike Hutyra had Barranti make for it as a surprise, and a custom Barranti holster for the extra cylinder assembly. It is a very special sixgun.

It's not a .32 but the same logic. I still have a couple .44 Magnums and still hunt with them but other than that the .357 Magnum or same loaded with a .38 Special really gives all the power I need and at a much more economical cost to both my powder and lead stores. There was a time I wouldn't head out into the woods without a .44 Magnum or heavy loaded .45 Colt but these days I carry my 4" GP100 a lot of times when hunting with a rifle.

I carry one pretty much every fall when I go over to hunt with a buddy on the Olympic Peninsula for coastal blacktail deer. There are grouse over there and I need some way to defend myself!

With the dearth of 22lr ammo, my Ruger birds head .32 is filling in a lot for plinking purposes. Wheel weights, Lil'Gun and Sellior & Belloit primer loads are no more expensive than 22lr's if & when you can find any. The 32 has slowed the depletion of my 22 stockpile considerably over the past couple of years. And its just a fun little gun to shoot.

Two of my favorite revolvers are a Ruger Bisley .32 H&R and a Ruger SP101 4 inch in the same caliber. I like this caliber so much that I had a Browning Lo-Wall rebored from .22 Hornet to .32 H&R to keep the two revolvers company. Now if only I could find one of the Marlin Model 1894s in .32 H&R.

Never found a K-32 I wanted bad enough to cough up the entrance fee.
