Price Check on a Colt Officer's Model Special .22

Local gun shop has a Colt Officer's Model Special .22 that's caught my attention and I'd like some insight into what a fair price might be. The overall condition is about 90% on the metal, with two small dots on the frame (with the rest of the frame being spotless and still showing that wonderful Colt blue from the period) and about 25% of the bluing worn off on the bottom of the barrel from the muzzle back about 2 inches. Grips are aftermarket, possibly Ropers, and in near perfect condition. Sights are correct, although the sight blade could use some touch up as it's worn on the sharp edges.

Asking on the gun is $695, but I'm thinking that is high, as the gun is certainly not in collectible condition.

Thoughts or guidance?

Thanks.

If the stocks are Ropers

or any of the other quality, period custom stocks, then the price is a bargain. A nice pair of Ropers will fetch most of that asking price by themselves.

Any way you can post a pic or two?
