Big Stink Accross the River

The family members of dead Cartel gunmen are upset by the way the Mexican government treat the corpses of their dead relatives. The government just lays them on the concrete floor of a metal warehouse and the family has to hold their noses and come and get them. At all times there is about a hundred rotting corpses and the stench is horrific.

The shootout and/or summary executions of Cartel gunmen are a daily occurrence in Matamoros Mexico with the dead running in the hundreds each month. None of this makes the papers on either side of the river, but the carnage is awful.

If you buck the tiger in Mexico and get bit, your body will be left to rot in a warehouse until your family holds their noses and comes and gets you. Neither Mexicans or their government are known for their kind and gentle ways or their sensitivity to the feeling of other.

To quote "Conagher" from Louis L'amour's book of the same name: "That's the life of an outlaw. Tough, ain't it!"
