Etch logo.....
Finally decided on what kind of knife marking system and logo to use. Went back and forth between etching or a steel stamp. In the end I figured etching gave me a cleaner look. I worked with TUS Tech to make the etching stencils and had each stencil include 2- 3/16" and 2- 3/8" sized logos plus a Gunnerblades to use for bigger blades. Here is a test sample I did yesterday......
Turned a PC power supply into the power source for the etcher, homemade etching wands using carbon motor brushes with bore cleaning patches for the liquid pads for the electrolyte chemical used to etch. Etched the dozen or so knives I had on hand, some turned out good, some not so good. The logo is a little ghosty, faint or not 100% on some of the blades, learned a few things while doing them so next time I etch a new blade it will turn out decent.

Etch logo.....
Look good
I like it!
Very clean and simple.
And, even if you ever move, you retain the connection to your origins. (I started out thinking you'd have to stay in STL.)
Nice!!!

Etch logo.....
Wish you had had that setup when you made the Bowie I got from you. No maker's mark on it, and one day after you become famous people will think I'm lyin' when I tell 'em you made that knife.
Very nice look.

Offer for you......
If you want your bowie logo etched just shoot me an email and I'll sent back my address and you can mail it back to me and I'll etch the logo on it for you then send it back, no charge.

Thanks, Gunner - it sounds like you've got plenty on your plate right now, so I'll pass. Sure do like that knife, though!
