A few weeks back I sent my nickeled Model 34 back to Smith & Wesson for repair. I think that the crane was bent as there was a small spot on the cylinder that would just rub the barrel root as the cylinder turned. It was tight enough to make it difficult to turn the cylinder on a clean cylinder and darn near impossible after 12 shots had been fired. I was going to send it back several years ago but things distracted me (including another Model 34 and a 43). So after waiting I finally got a shipping ticket and then a bill for evaluation which I paid. Suddenly this evening I got notice that a package had been shipped from S&W yesterday. It can't be anything else but they never let me know what was going on so I don't know what, if anything, that they might have done. Fingers crossed...

Smith was bringing back the Model 34 to production.

That WOULD be nice!
