S&W M&P Pro

Most here know my quest to learn the semi-auto pistol. It all began with a CZ75 Pre B. I've become fond of the little gun. Then I purchased a S&W M&P Compact & after putting several through the gun I'm carrying it. The striker fired system works for me & I really like the compact so the decision was made to purchase a full size M&P Pro to play with.

The first rounds down the barrel were 79 each of the Hornady XP 115 grain HP with 5.5 grains of Unique on Saturday. Then yesterday I was out using the Lee 9MM 125 RN with 3.5 grains of Promo. These fed fine & after 112 of them I had so so luck on clay birds at the 75 yard berm.

Today Barbara & I took some strawberry plants to the local greenhouse & drove home the long way so I could try another load in the Pro. This time it was the Saeco 928. I cast these from air cooled tire weights, sized them .358 with Carnauba Red lube. Plans were to shoot them in my 38 but needing bullets & not wanting to cast more I decide to just load these in the 9MM case & see if the would chamber & feed with they did.

So today with one 17 round mag full of the Saeco bullet & 3.5 grains of Promo I stopped by the road out of town & emptied the mag quickly. They functioned just fine. I'll try them on paper shortly.

Looks good Lynn. 9 is more fun to play with than I thought it would be.

I hate to pick up brass but at least with the 9 it's cheap enough loosing a few doesn't hurt.
