LGS had a Navy Arms Enfield 45-70.
Took much self control to not buy.
There was a fella who used to haul one of those around to...
the local shows. His was scoped (with high mounts to boot!) and retained the military stock with brass buttplate. Thought it was neat but it sure looked painful.
If I still had moose sleeping in my yard/eating out of
window feeder box, I would ponder it... But, I'll have to make do with my Marlin 45-70 and 1917 in 375 Weatherby...but thanks! those are still interesting rifles.
Besides I am terribly infatuated with Roger's Hiem double rifle in .450 Nitro Express!
