I love working in a pawn shop......
.......came in today after two days off. Boss has a huge box of knives that a fellow lost in pawn. While I certainly don't revel in another's loss, business is business. We start to sort the knives, about 15 nice Kershaw blades, a mixed bag of Gerber, CRKT, and MTech, then the real prize, a cigar box just full of minty Case knives. But wait! What's this at the very bottom? A sure enough Keith Subscription Knife!
Plainly used, which is perfect, as I have an absolutely mint one still in the original wrap. This one will get cleaned, sharpened, and put to work, just as The Grand Old Man would have liked. That and a very pretty little Case Trapper made my day....for 20 bucks.
But it got WAY better, soon after that! I went into the vault to look for a customer's redeemed pistola and notice a very minty Marlin 39 AS. The boss says it came in the day before, a fellow wanted to sell it. Oh, and I can have it for $275!
Condition is about 95+%, and it dates to the second year of the safety. Uncheckered stocks, intact bullseye, I've been waiting for this one since I went to work there!

Got to be better in some ways than working in a gun

When last I saw you, you won that fabulous custom revolver at the Taffin dinner. Now this pair of home runs .... Perhaps you should consider Lottery tickets!
