home swaged jacketed bullets

Just got my swageing dies from BT Sniper over on the Cast boolit forum and ventured into the world of swageing my own. These are .45 cal I'll shoot in my 1911. The jackets are fromed from spent .40 S&W brass and weigh right at 227 grains. I'm pretty proud of my first effort, excuse the lousy picture but wanted to share. [image] Thanks Dennis Eugene

Intersting adaptation...looks really odd to see a primer in the base of the bullet. I understand they shoot good, have fun with them and let us know how they shoot for you.

Cool idea, that has to be one tough bullet with a thick brass jacket like that, wonder if they will show any expansion at handgun velocity. I wonder with that thick jacket what does it do to pressure? A long time ago someone was doing .45 acp cases they filled with solder out of a .475 L. Kind of like a poor mans Punch bullet I'll have to read up on this idea. Thanks

I just keep picturing the confused look on the face of a forensics guy when he pulls one of them out of something. :-D
