Anyone looking for a .44 Magnum Rem 788?
yes. uncowboy at Comcast dot net
I believe the 44Mag 788 is the rarest
788 made. The 30/30 is 2nd rarest from what I've read.
Condition is excellent but I think the wood has been
refinished. I don't think the metal has been refinished/reblued and it is 98%. The boss had $1500 on it but I know that is likely negotiable (although I don't know how much so). That is about all I know now. I can get more info OR you can call 540-886-3601 or email nuckolsgun@gmail.com.

Thanks for the info - looking for a shooter
and priced like it. :) Sounds like this one is too nice for me and is definitely more than I want to pay, rare gun that it is.
try a ruger 96/44 lever 44 magnum.....very accurate !
about 350.00 at most...
refinished wood...and the 788 is just not that great of a gun, period...weak dang safety bulky yo tote the mag is at the balance point and is in the way...

You know of course that some "collector" will
talk to him about it and that it will never go to the field again, if it ever did. Also, the last 4 788s we sold in .308 and .243 all went for more than $650 with about 80% finish. We just shake our heads but there it is.

Eh...I own one, if I hadn't been gifted it by my favorite
Uncle cause I shot my first deer with it, This 788 in 243, would be long gone...
